Toolkit: Resources to Promote HPV Vaccination Starting at Age 9
National HPV Vaccination Roundatble
Toolkit consists of factsheets with core and sample outreach messages focused on advocacy communications for parents, state and local health systems, and providers and health systems. There are also social media links and additional resources for promoting the HPV vaccine starting at age 9. The HPV vaccine is an effective way to prevent HPV-related cancers. This toolkit emphasizes that recommending HPV vaccination at age 9 increases the chance of children successfully completing the HPV vaccine by age 13. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) support HPV vaccination starting at age 9 and the CDC considers the HPV vaccine a routine vaccination beginning at age 11. The toolkit is also available here: HPV Vaccination Starts at Age 9 | National HPV Vaccination Roundtable.
